School Council

At St William's Catholic Primary School, we have a fantastic team of children from Years 1 – 6, which help to organise our School Council and are supported by Mrs R Liptrot, Mrs B Packingham and Mrs L Greenall.

At the start of every Year the children in Years 1-6 choose two school council members for their class. This year our current School Council members are:

Year 1

Raynie and Flynn

Year 2

Lena and Dylan

Year 3

Alexa and Zane

Year 4

Jake and Lola

Year 5

Samuel and Ebbony

Year 6

Isobelle and Leo

These children have become the voice of their peers within each Year group and gather opinions and views on various important issues that arise throughout the year. They are then asked to share these during School Council meetings where they are encouraged to voice their ideas, issues and concerns. They are also responsible for playing an active role in continuing to improve the school and local community.

In the past School Council have implemented a whole school reward system, redesigned the school uniform and promoted a love of reading through a Book Exchange.

This year, we aim to:

· Develop the importance of the wellbeing of both the children and the adults at St William’s Catholic Primary School.

· Organise fundraising activities to raise money for charities that are important and meaningful to our children.

· Continue to be involved in whole school initiatives and contribute to the wider life of our school.
