Jubilee Year - Pilgrims of Hope
In 2025, Pope Francis has called the Church to a Holy Year of Jubilee, inviting us all to be Pilgrims of Hope. At St William’s, we’re honoured to join this special celebration, as part of the global call to justice, peace, and renewal. We have eagerly made our Jubilee Pledge, committing ourselves to becoming living signs of hope in our local community and beyond.
What Being a Pilgrim of Hope Means for Us:
- Walking Together in Faith - We stand united, inspired by Pope Francis’s call to renew our hope and build a fairer world
- Taking Concrete Actions - Through collective efforts like fundraising, prayer, and campaigning on issues like debt justice, we learn that hope is made real by what we do
- Praying with Intention - We slow down, reflect, and pray together, growing closer to God and one another
How We’re Living Our Jubilee Pledge
As a school, we’ve already started several exciting acts of faith in action:
- Leading assemblies and prayer services—Stations of the Cross, peace prayers, and Jubilee themed reflections.
- Creating visible reminders—classroom door displays, and lighted candles of hope.
- Completing our own Pilgrimage Walk, reflecting on our place as pilgrims in God’s world.
