Sports Premium

The purpose of the PE Sports Premium Grant is to fund improvements to the provision of PE and Sport for the benefit of all pupils aged 5 - 11 years old. With support from the grant, we have previously been awarded with the Bronze and Silver School Games Mark. Most recently in 2022/2023 we were awarded the Gold School Games Mark in recognition of the provision and opportunities provided to all pupils.  

At St. William’s Catholic Primary School, in 2023/24, the grant will be used in the following key areas: 

• To maintain increased participation in Intra/Inter school Competitions.   

• To continue to utilise the members of the Sports Council and in leading, managing and officiating physical activity.

• To continue to promote 30 active minutes within school by updating the current MUGA so that it includes basketball hoops so that children have more opportunities for structured games/up skill activities.  

• To subsidise the cost of extracurricular provision for all pupils.
